Rachel Keller Spease spent three years with the women's basketball team and two with the Elizabethtown College field hockey program after transferring to the College from Ursinus College.

Originally from Lebanon, Pa., Keller Spease averaged 17.4 points per game in 1955-56 and registered four 20-plus point games, including a 28-point performance against Millersville. She went on to average 10.6 per game as a junior.


Keller Spease scored more than 100 points in each of her three seasons at E-town. As a member of the field hockey team, she scored three goals, but was primarily used at center halfback. A team captain, Keller Spease played on coach Julia Risser's first team.

Keller Spease was one of the founding members of the Women's Athletic Association (WAA) on campus.
