Ira R. Herr Athletic Hall of Fame
Annette Mumma Nation '46 played two seasons of basketball for Elizabethtown. She led the then-Gray Ghosts, as they were known before becoming the Blue Jays in 1947, in scoring during her sophomore season, averaging 23.8 points per game over 11 contests. She made an amazing 110 baskets and 42 foul shots for 262 points. To finish the season, Annette scored 30 points or more in four straight games, including a season-best 35 against Lock Haven.
Mumma Nation also competed on the varsity team as a freshman, amassing three games of 20 points or more. She was also a member of the College's Pep Squad.
A native of Rothsville, Pa., Annette received a certificate from Elizabethtown College through the medical secretarial science program.
