Gary E. Scheib '80 is a native of Valley View, Pa. and a 1976 graduate of Tri Valley High School. Gary, a member of the wrestling team while at E-town, was inducted into the Ira R. Herr Athletic Hall of Fame in 2009.

Gary won consecutive Middle Atlantic Conference Championships at 158 pounds as a junior (1979) and a senior (1980). He also qualified for the NCAA Division III Championships.

Upon graduation with a degree in business administration in 1980, Scheib worked as a software engineer for more than 25 years. An active runner, Gary had completed eight marathons at the time of his induction, including the Boston Marathon.

Scheib and his wife, Sally, reside in Arlington, Texas. The couple have three children and three grandchildren.
