Kay Jones Dimeler played four years of field hockey and four years of basketball during the late 1950s and early 1960s. Jones, who grew up in Elizabethtown, Pa., scored 23 career goals as a member of the field hockey team, including 10 during her sophomore season in 1958. She scored two goals in a homecoming win over Shippensburg during the 1958 season.
Jones captained the field hockey team for one season and was also a guard and co-captain of the women's basketball team for one season. She was involved with the Women's Athletic Association (WAA) all four years on campus, during a time when postseason opportunities were scarce for women's sports and individual awards not as prevalent.
