The Outstanding Female Athlete of the 1957 senior class, Kathryn "Kitty" Swigart Wagner was a standout forward on the women's basketball team from 1954-57.

A native of McVeytown, Pa., Swigart Wagner's career scoring average of 17.7 points per game remains the fourth best in school history. She graduated in just three years by attending summer sessions at the College. Along with Rachel Keller Spease and coach Julia Risser, Swigart Wagner was a founding member of the Women's Athletic Association (WAA).

Swigart Wagner averaged 18.8 points per game as a junior, leading the team in points and free throws made. She was a double-figure scorer in 10-of-11 games, including a pair of 30-point performances. Swigart Wagner hit double figures in every game during her senior season, when she averaged 16.2 points per game.
