The Elizabethtown College women's cross country team won its 10th consecutive conference championship in 2016 while reaching the NCAA Division III Championships as a team for the ninth time since 2004. Erin Fisher was unquestionably one of the most influential runners in laying the groundwork for the Blue Jays' decade of dominance.

Fisher won the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) championship meet in 2006 and 2007, earning Runner of the Year honors both years. As a senior in 2007, Fisher carried the momentum from her MAC title to regionals. The McEwensville, Pennsylvania, native tore around Lehigh University's Goodman Campus, becoming the first and only Blue Jay to win the Mideast Regional championship meet.

At the 2007 NCAA Division III Championships in Northfield, Minnesota, Fisher brought home a 15th-place finish to etch her name in the Elizabethtown women's cross country record book as its second All-American.

Fisher added an All-MAC Second Team finish in 2005 to her First Team accomplishments in 2006 and 2007. She was a two-time All-Mideast Region finisher (2006 and 2007).

Fisher's cross country career came to a close following the All-America performance in 2007, but she was in no mood to slow down. Fisher took gold in the 5,000-meter run and distance medley relay at the 2008 MAC Indoor Championships as the Blue Jays finished as runners-up. She qualified for the NCAA DIII Indoor Championships in the 5k, finishing 10th. During the outdoor season, Fisher again won gold at MACs and extended her season to the national championships in both the 5k and 10k.

Following in the footsteps of former teammate Melissa St. Clair '05, an All-American in both cross country and track & field, Fisher placed seventh in the 10k at nationals for her first track & field All-America honor after entering the meet with the 10th fastest time in the nation.

Fisher collected 11 All-MAC performances and eight medals (six golds) during her track & field career. In addition to qualifying for events at the 2008 NCAA DIII Indoor and Outdoor Championships, she also ran in the 10k at the 2007 NCAA DIII Outdoor Championships.

Off the track, Fisher was a highly-decorated student-athlete at the College. She appeared on multiple United States Track & Field and Cross Country Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Teams, earned CoSIDA Academic All-America honors in 2006-07, was the MAC Scholar-Athlete for women's cross country in 2007, was named Elizabethtown College's Female Distinguished Student-Athlete Award winner in 2007, received a NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship and was a NCAA Woman of the Year finalist in 2008.
