Emily Morris Eckert thrived as a multi-sport athlete for the Blue Jay softball and women's volleyball teams, earning six all-conference honors between the two sports and an all-region nod in softball between 2000-04.

Morris Eckert holds distinction as one of only three players in the softball program's 39-year history to earn all-conference recognition four times. She was an All-MAC Commonwealth Second Team shortstop as a freshman in 2001, before cementing herself as the premier player at the position over the next three years.

With a pair of .400 seasons at the plate and a junior season in which she was just under the mark (.394), Morris Eckert claimed a spot on the All-MAC Commonwealth First Team in 2002, 2003 and 2004. She was named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-East Region Third Team in 2004.

Originally from Canton, Pennsylvania, Morris Eckert set Elizabethtown's new career hits record as a senior, finishing her career with 168 --which still ranks third today. Her .373 career batting average is fourth best in program history, while her 451 at-bats and 85 runs scored rank fifth and eighth, respectively. Morris Eckert ranks amongst the Blue Jays' single-season leaders in multiple categories, too. She held the school record for hits in a season, with 54 in 2002, until 2012.

Renowned with the bat and glove, Morris Eckert also had a standout career as an outside hitter with the women's volleyball team and remains one of the best two-way players to pass through Thompson Gymnasium.

Morris Eckert amassed the second most digs (1,895) and fifth most kills (1,188) in team history, while helping Elizabethtown to 58 victories. She holds the school's career record for digs per set (4.97) and is third in kills per set (3.12). Morris Eckert set a program single-match record with 44 digs against CCNY on Sept. 13, 2003, only to tie the mark a week later against Marywood. She would go on to top the century mark in career services aces (171, eighth all-time) and blocks (105).

Morris Eckert was voted to the All-MAC Commonwealth First Team as a senior in 2003 and claimed a spot on the All-MAC Commonwealth Second Team following the 2000 season, her rookie year.
