Ira R. Herr Athletic Hall of Fame
Kamille (Kassees) Beittel '85 was a four-year starter and two-year captain for the Blue Jay field hockey team. She scored 26 goals and added 26 assists during her career. Her career assists total ranks eighth in program history.
The Lancaster native earned all-conference honors twice, first in 1983 as an All-MAC Southern Division First Team pick and again in 1984 on the All-MAC
Southeast League First Team. Beittel’s individual success correlated to team success, as the Blue Jays won no less than 10 games in any of her four seasons.
As a freshman in 1981, she helped Elizabethtown reach the NCAA Division III national semifinals. The Blue Jays were MAC runners-up in 1983 and 1984, and qualified for the national tournament in each of her years with the team.
