Donlin tabbed Landmark Senior Scholar Athlete

TOWSON, Md. -- The Landmark Conference selects 22 senior scholar athletes each year to recognize the top student-athlete in each sport based on academic and athletics. Elizabethtown senior goalie Margo Donlin was selected as the recipient for field hockey. She is the second Blue Jay to earn the award and 17th overall since E-town joined the conference beginning in 2014-15.

Donlin had her best year to date in the cage for Elizabethtown, a career year, in fact. She recorded new highs in minutes, wins, shutouts, saves, and save percentage in helping the Blue Jays to a 13-6 record and another trip to the Landmark playoffs.

A five-time Defensive Athlete of the Week this past season, Donlin was named First Team Goalie a year after earning Second Team.

In the classroom, the senior has been just as effective with her studies. Donlin, an engineering major, has a 3.98 cumulative GPA and as a result, has been a three-time NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad recipient and two-time NFHCA Division III Scholar of Distinction. She has also appeared three times on the Landmark's Fall Academic Honor Roll.

Donlin joins her sister, Halley Donlin '17, as the only two players for Elizabethtown to receive the conference's field hockey SSA award.

The honorees must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.20 and are selected by a committee of Landmark Conference officers, athletics directors, senior woman administrators, faculty athletic representatives, and sports information directors. Chosen at the end of each sport season, the first six honorees will be announced over the next week.
