Landmark Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll | Landmark Conference All-Sportsmanship Teams
TOWSON, Md. -- The Landmark Conference came out with its 2017 academic honor roll for the fall season and the all-sportsmanship teams in an announcement made by the league office on Friday. 67 student-athletes earned a spot on the honor roll while one Blue Jay from each of the six fall sports teams was chosen to represent E-town.
The All-Sportsmanship Team recognizes student-athletes who epitomize the ideals of sportsmanship. The student-athletes selected demonstrate fair play, graciousness in victory and respectfulness in defeat. They are ambassadors for the team, both on and off the field, and galvanize their teammates toward their goals. These student-athletes exhibit respect for themselves, teammates, coaches, opponents, officials, spectators, and the greater campus community.
Representing Elizabethtown in men's cross country was this year's championship runner-up Tyler Alansky. On the women's side, Kelsey Brady was the choice for the second straight year. Charity Good was picked for field hockey. Aaron Rathsam was also selected for a second consecutive season for men's soccer, while Jennifer Ritchie appeared for women's soccer for the first time. Morgan Reiss took the honor for volleyball.
Turning to the honor roll, 365 student-athletes across the Landmark were recognized for their work in the classroom. 67 of those 365 were from Elizabethtown. The Honor Roll recognizes all fall student-athletes who have reached sophomore standing with a cumulative GPA of 3.20 or higher. It marks the first academic accolades awarded by the conference this fall.
The Landmark will announce the Senior Scholar athletes next week.
