Six to be Inducted into Elizabethtown College's Ira R. Herr Athletic Hall of Fame

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa.—The Elizabethtown College Ira R. Herr Athletic Hall of Fame will grant entry to six former Blue Jay student-athletes this November. The 2026 class consists of Pablo Callejas '04 (men's track & field), Katie Caprinolo '10 (women's lacrosse), Quint Eno '12 (wrestling), Brian Healy '06 (men's soccer), Stacy Shapiro '07  (women's tennis), and Melanie (Slessinger) Shoff '06 (field hockey) was announced by the College on Thursday

The Blue Jay Athletic Association (BJAA) also named Howard "Hob" Kroesen '71, G'30 the recipient of the Joseph A. Whitmore Outstanding Service to Student-Athletes Award and will honor Shane Zimmerman '89 with the Distinguished Alumni Award.

Induction ceremonies will be held in the Koons Activity Venue (KAV) in Brossman Commons on Etown's campus during the Blue Jay Athletics Reunion on Sunday, Nov. 22, 2026. A light reception and tour will begin at 11:45 a.m. in the Jay Walk. Doors open at 12:30 p.m. with the luncheon and ceremony beginning at 1 p.m.
There is an open invitation for the induction luncheon and ceremony. Registration is required to attend and will open later this summer.

PABLO CALLEJAS '04 – Men's Track & Field
A 2004 outdoor track & field NCAA qualifier, Callejas became an All-American in the triple jump after placing fourth at the NCAA Division III Championships. In 2003, Callejas earned All-MAC second team honors in the triple jump (outdoor). In 2004, he earned All-MAC first team honors in the triple jump (indoor & outdoor) and earned second team honors in the long jump (indoor). Callejas is second all-time in the triple jump (indoor), third in the long jump (indoor), and fourth in the long jump (outdoor) while still holding the program record for the triple jump (outdoor) set at the 2004 NCAA Division III Championships.

KATIE CAPRINOLO '10 – Women's Lacrosse
Caprinolo became the program's second IWLCA All-American as she was named to the third team in 2010. She earned IWLCA All-Metro Region honors in 2010 while also earning All-MAC honors three times. Caprinolo helped the Blue Jays to two MAC Championship appearances before being crowned champions in 2010. The 2010 team advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division III Tournament. Caprinolo is 10th all-time in game-winning goals (5) and fourth in free-position goals (32).
 
QUINT ENO '12- Wrestling
A 2012 NCAA All-American, in two seasons Eno finished with 44 wins. Competing at 165 pounds, he won a MAC Championship and Metropolitan Wrestling Conference Championship during the 2011-12 season.

BRIAN HEALY '06 – Men's Soccer
A three-time All-Commonwealth Conference selection and third team All-American, Healy was a member of the 2004 Commonwealth Conference Championship team.  In 2004, the team advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division III Tournament. Healy was also twice named to the All-Mid-Atlantic Region first team.

STACY SHAPIRO '07 – Women's Tennis
A four-time All-Commonwealth Conference selection, Shapiro ended her career with a combined 108 singles and doubles wins. Shapiro was a two-time MAC doubles champion and a 2006 MAC singles runner-up. She was the 2003 Commonwealth Conference Rookie of the Year and then followed that up with the Commonwealth Conference Player of the Year in 2006. The Blue Jays were two-time Commonwealth Conference Champions during her career.

MELANIE (SLESSINGER) SHOFF '06 – Field Hockey
A 2005 NFHCA third team All-American, Shoff helped her team reach the Commonwealth Conference semifinals twice. She earned NFHCA first team All-Region honors and was named the 2005 MAC Commonwealth Co-Player of the Year.
