Stirling Promoted to Elizabethtown College Head Athletic Trainer

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – Elizabethtown College Athletics announced the promotion of Alyssa Stirling to head athletic trainer on Friday

"Since her arrival last fall, Alyssa has had a positive impact not only on our student-athletes and our coaches, but everyone she's encountered," Elizabethtown College Director of Athletics, Chris Morgan '91 said. "I'm excited to have Alyssa as our Head Athletic Trainer and look forward to supporting her in this leadership role.  As an athletic department, we are fortunate to have four outstanding Athletic Trainers serving our Blue Jay student-athletes."

Stirling will take over the head athletic trainer duties for Elizabethtown. Mark Eppley, who served as the head athletic trainer for the 2025-26 academic year, will return to his role as an assistant trainer for the department. Eppley has been a member of the Elizabethtown College athletic training team for the past seven years.

Stirling first came to Etown as an assistant athletic trainer in the fall 2025. Stirling, a 2014 graduate of Immaculata University, received her Master's degree from Appalachian State University in North Carolina in May 2016.
Prior to her time at Etown, Stirling served as an athletic trainer locally at Manheim Central High School. She also serves as an adjunct professor in the Department of Kinesiology at Penn State Harrisburg, a role she's held since August 2019.
