Trama caps off career with All-American finish at NCAAs!

WINNECONNE, Wis. — Zach Trama's tremendous season was capped off with an exclamation point as the senior became the fifth runner in the Elizabethtown College men's cross country team's history to earn All-American honors Saturday at the NCAA Championships. Trama finished 26th overall out of the 280-runner field and led E-town to a 22nd-place finish.

Trama went from Landmark Conference individual champion to All-Mideast Region performer in his past two races and ended his cross country career in deserving fashion. The first All-American since Eric Reichert in 2011, the West Chester native ran 24:48.9 for his 26th-place run.

Matt Shenk finished inside the top 100 in his final cross country race, placing 94th in 25:30.1. Keegan McDonough ran an 8,000-meter PR and was the third E-town runner to cross the finish line, running 26:00.5 and placing 192nd.

Seniors Sam Cooper and Ryan Conway were the final two scorers for the Blue Jays. Cooper ran 26:02.4 to take 195th while Conway was 205th in 26:06.3.

Andrew Lesko also set a PR in the 8k. Lesko finished 220th in 26:12.5.
