Women's lacrosse downed by #7 Catholic

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The Elizabethtown College women's lacrosse team ran into one of the top ten teams in NCAA Division III Wednesday night in seventh-ranked Catholic. The Cardinals downed the Blue Jays 22-1 at Carlini Field. Jess Principe had the Jays' only goal of the game. Jennifer Beihoff had 10 saves in goal for Etown.

Catholic (4-0, 4-0 Landmark) marched out to a 13-0 lead before Principe was able to put Elizabethtown (1-4, 1-4 Landmark) on the board. Madison Morabito provided the assist on the junior's first goal of the season.

The Cardinals led 14-1 at halftime.

Catholic added eight goals in the second half and did not allow the Blue Jays to score after Principe's goal. The Cardinals grabbed 19 draw controls and scooped up 23 ground balls.

Kate Olsen led Catholic with four goals on the night. Sam Deiaco had a team-high two caused turnovers and two ground balls. Emily Garvin and Cassidy Pawlicki also added a pair of ground balls each.
