Elizabethtown College Announces Updated Spectator Policy

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – The Elizabethtown College Department of Athletics, in coordination with the College's COVID-19 Taskforce, has announced an updated fan attendance policy for the Spring 2021 semester.

Two spectator passes will be issued for each student-athlete and coach and will be collected at their first event, with spectators needing to keep their pass on them at all times when on campus. No spectators of visiting teams will be permitted to attend.
  • The Elizabethtown College Daily Digital Health Screening MUST be reviewed for each approved spectator before departing for campus on the day of the game you are attending. Anyone exhibiting symptoms or unable to answer no to each screening questions through this process will not be granted access to campus.
  • All attendees may arrive no more than 60 minutes prior to the game/match and have their photo ID and spectator pass available to show game managers on request. Spectators are reminded that they are not allowed in any building except Bowers for restrooms. Additional details about spectator passes are forthcoming.
  • All attendees must wear a face mask that covers their mouth and nose and socially distance themselves from others. Spectators must follow all COVID-19 specific guidelines while on campus.
  • Individual spectator groups must remain spaced and distanced from others when in the bleachers. Please do not sit within 6 feet of people outside of your household. Seating at Kevin Scott Boyd Field and the Nest will be relegated to the outfield. Please plan accordingly.
  • Attendees may not come into contact with any players, workers, or officials throughout the game.
  • Spectators' bathrooms will be available and clearly marked. Please make sure to use the correct bathrooms as student-athletes could have bathrooms adjacent to spectator bathrooms. During the week until 8 p.m. and on weekend game days from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. the Bowers Center public first floors bathrooms will be available to spectators.
  • We ask that you limit food and drinks while on campus to avoid the need to remove masks.
  • Gameday personnel – players, coaches, medical staff, and others working the game – are the ONLY people permitted on the field – before, during, and after the game. Fans should not come into contact with players or staff.
  • Tailgating activities are absolutely prohibited. Failure to comply could result in removal from campus.

The return of athletic activity is always subject to change depending on the evolving pandemic and issues that could impact our campus health and safety measures. Our commitment to the student-athlete experience at Etown remains strong and we thank all of our athletes and coaches for their continued patience and support.
