Blass picked Landmark Softball Senior Scholar Athlete

2018 Landmark Conference Softball Senior Scholar Athlete

TOWSON, Md. --
Kirstin Blass became the fourth Elizabethtown College student-athlete to be named a Landmark Conference Senior Scholar Athlete during the 2017-18 academic year. She becomes the first member of the softball program to be recognized with the honor.

Blass' success on and off the field continued on Monday with the award after already earning Landmark Conference Co-Player of the Year and First Team honors and earning a spot on the NFCA Division III Atlantic Region Third Team as an at-large selection.

The Catawissa, Pa. native completed her Master's degree program at Elizabethtown and enjoyed a career year on the softball field. Blass carried a perfect 4.00 GPA as a special education major and is a four-time Landmark Conference Spring Academic Honor Roll selection and 2016 NFCA Division III Scholar Athlete.

The Landmark Conference selects 22 senior scholar athletes each year to recognize the top student-athlete in each sport based on academics and athletics.

The honorees must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.20 and are selected by a committee of Landmark Conference officers, athletics directors, faculty athletic representatives, senior woman administrators, and sports information directors.
