Thursday athletic events washed out

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. -- Continual rain Thursday has washed out Elizabethtown College's full lineup of athletic contests.

Men's golf was scheduled to host the Elizabethtown Blue Jay Classic at Hershey Country Club's East Course, but the tournament has been rescheduled for Monday, April 17, at 1 p.m. The Blue Jay golfers are back in action on Tuesday, April 11, at the Alvernia Spring Invitational.

Also affected by the rain were the softball team's home non-conference doubleheader against Ursinus and the men's tennis team's road non-conference match at Stevenson.

Makeup dates and times have not been announced for either softball or men's tennis. Softball will be on the road this weekend to take on Landmark opponents Catholic (Saturday) and Drew (Sunday). Men's tennis has a weekend double dip as well, heading to Susquehanna, Saturday, before visiting Juniata, Sunday.
