ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. -- Amber Burd and Madison McCall won their 10th singles matches of the season and Taylor Helsel inched closer to 100 career victories as Elizabethtown ended the regular season with an 8-1 win over Messiah Wednesday at the Alumni Courts.

Burd (10-3) reached double-digit singles wins for the first time in her career, while McCall (10-7) has achieved the feat four times in as many seasons.

The Blue Jays shook off a slow start and eventually got their game in gear. No. 2 doubles teammates Meghan Chemidlin and Lenea Riehl had no issues with the Falcons' Meagan Scala and Emily Wichert, collecting a comannding 8-1 win.

Messiah's No. 3 duo of Amanda Adams and Robin Schwarzmann stole a point with an 8-5 triumph, but Helsel and McCall notched the final doubles point at No. 1 in come-from-behind fashion, 9-8 (3), over Kelly Hopkins and Sydney Schandel.

Elizabethtown (11-4), went on to sweep all six singles flights in straight sets on the way to its ninth straight win.

Helsel is just five wins away from the century mark after a 6-2, 6-3 win against Hopkins at first singles.

McCall, meanwhile, advanced to fifth on the Blue Jays' all-time combined wins list following her 6-2, 6-3 victory over Schandel at No. 2. McCall surpassed Kirsty Trimby and Alice Yu (112), Wednesday, with her 112th and 113th career wins. She is one win short of Madison Pipkin and Christine Evangelista for third.

Burd improved to 9-1 in her last 10 matches and has an eight-match winning streak after dismissing Schwarzmann 6-3, 6-2 in their fifth singles match. Freshman Lenea Riehl controlled fourth singles, winning 6-1, 6-2 over Adams for her fifth straight victory.

Chemidlin, who came within one win of Elizabethtown's single-season top 10 list with 18 last season, is making another run at it against as a sophomore. Chemidlin's record now stands at 17-2 after beating Wichert 6-3, 6-2 at third singles.

Senior Brooke Hillriegel completed the singles sweep against Sarah Summerson 6-2, 7-6 (3).

Elizabethtown, which is locked into the No. 2 seed in the upcoming Landmark Conference Championship, will learn its semifinal opponent in the next few days as conference play wraps up this weekend.

The Blue Jays will host their semifinal match next Wednesday, May 3, at a time to be determined.
