ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. -- The Elizabethtown College women's tennis team won by a 6-0 final over Lycoming on Saturday at Stauffer Courts.
Elizabethtown won 6-1 and 6-4 at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles, respectively.
Haley Bishop and
Katie Balzano were the victorious pair at No. 1's and
Mariia Yeni and
Hannah Walker beat the Warriors in No. 2's. A win by forfeit for the Blue Jays at No. 3 doubles for
Julia Kiernan and
Taylor Dukes.
Bishop dominated at No. 1 singles, 6-1, 6-0 as did Walker at No. 3 singles, 6-1, 6-1. Yeni also took No. 2 singles, 6-1, 6-3 while Kiernan had to work a little more for Etown at No. 4 singles, 1-6, 6-0, 10-4. Dukes got a second win by forfeit, this time at No. 5 singles.
