ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – In a rematch of last year's Landmark Conference semifinal, Elizabethtown once again got the better of Catholic. The Jays won their sixth straight match by a 7-2 count Saturday at the Alumni Courts.

The Blue Jays took 2-of-3 in doubles, the ninth time in 12 matches they've headed to singles with the lead.

To no one's surprise, the veterans at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles put in another businesslike effort.

Madison McCall and Taylor Helsel blew past Laura Torsiello and Sarah MacLean, 8-1, in the top flight match, becoming the first E-town (9-3, 5-0 Landmark) duo to 10 wins this season in the process.

The No. 2 team of Lauren Berry and Sam Procak kept their winning streak in line with McCall/Helsel's, emerging with their sixth victory in a row. Berry and Procak doubled up Jenna Gietl and Erin Cole, 8-4.

Elizabethtown showed its dominance in singles where it won flights one through five.

No. 1 McCall silenced Torsiello 6-2, 6-0 and No. 5 Meghan Chemidlin also posted a first set shutout in her 6-0, 6-4 win over Maria Flores.

Procak joined McCall and Chemidlin with her sixth consecutive win, taking fourth singles against Lindsay Rekstis 6-1, 6-3. The three Blue Jays have won every singles match they've played during the team's current six-match winning streak.

Berry bounced back from a loss Friday against Juniata to down MacLean 6-1, 6-4 at No. 3 and Helsel held off Gietl in three sets 6-3, 4-6, 6-4 at No. 2.

Catholic (6-5, 0-2 Landmark) earned an 8-5 win from Rekstis and Flores at third doubles and Cole got past freshman Laura Gribble 6-2, 6-4 at sixth singles.

Elizabethtown goes for a 3-0 weekend Sunday when it makes up a non-conference match at Misericordia at 1 p.m.
