Randolph-Macon sweeps Blue Jays

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – Randolph-Macon kept its undefeated record intact by sweeping the Elizabethtown women's tennis team 9-0 Wednesday afternoon at the Alumni Courts.

The Blue Jays were competitive at first and second doubles, but couldn't quite steal a point from the Yellow Jackets (9-0).

Madison McCall and Taylor Helsel fell to Randolph-Macon's No. 1 duo of Caitlin Delmas and Sid Corrigan, 8-6, while Lauren Berry and Sam Procak were edged by Kelsie Grice and Gaby Tersigni, 8-5, at No. 2.

Procak forced a third set in her No. 4 singles match with Tersigni, before taking a 6-2, 4-6, 6-4 loss. The Yellow Jackets, first time opponents of the Blue Jays (3-3), won the remaining five matches in straight sets.

Elizabethtown will travel to Drew Saturday to open its Landmark Conference schedule at 1 p.m.
