ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – The Elizabethtown College women's tennis team's third clean sweep of the season was its most meaningful. The Blue Jays whitewashed Drew, 9-0, Saturday on Senior Day at the Alumni Courts to secure the No. 1 seed in the upcoming Landmark Conference Championships.

Between the Jays' three doubles teams, only 4-of-28 games didn't go their way.

Madison McCall and Sam Procak picked up their 10th win together, 8-1, against Katie Marshall and Andrea Defillo, while No. 1's Christine Evangelista and Kaitlyn Pellegrino matched that score in their victory over the Rangers' (5-8, 1-6 Landmark) Deanna Williams and Kirby Clark.

Evangelista's 59th career doubles win moved her into sole possession of sixth on the school's all-time wins list.

The regionally-ranked Blue Jays (12-3, 6-0 Landmark) pushed their advantage to 3-0 at the end of doubles with Lauren Berry and Taylor Helsel finishing off Alex Scarborough and Megan Jarvis 8-2.

E-town's dominance carried over to singles, where none of the six players in its lineup lost more than two games in any set.

Helsel swept Kathryn Swenor 6-0, 6-0 at No. 6 and Berry emerged with a 6-1, 6-0 outcome over Scarborough.

Evangelista and Pellegrino won their first and second singles matches by 6-1, 6-2 counts, respectively.

McCall was a 6-1, 6-1 winner over Jarvis at No. 4 and Sarah Calabro defeated Kirby Clark 6-2, 6-1 at No. 5.

With the win, Elizabethtown extended its conference winning streak to 39 matches, which dates back to 2008-09 in its former home, the Commonwealth Conference. The 2015 season is the Blue Jays' first in the Landmark.

E-town will have a chance to complete an unbeaten regular season in the league Monday at 4 p.m. at Susquehanna. The Jays, who still host Messiah (Tuesday) and Harford C.C. (Saturday), will open the conference tournament at home on Wednesday, April 29, against Catholic.
