LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Elizabethtown College softball received All-Academic Team honors, while outfielders Becky Becher and Maeve McGill were recognized individually by the NFCA, which recently released its annual academic awards.

The Blue Jays 3.02 team grade point average put them amongst 90 programs carrying the All-Academic Team label. Elizabethtown was one of four Landmark Conference teams on the list, along with Drew, Juniata and Susquehanna.

Becher and McGill were named All-America Scholar Athletes. To qualify for the award, players must have compiled a 3.5 grade point average or higher in each semester during the 2013-14 academic year.

Both Becher and McGill were named to the Landmark Conference Academic Honor Roll back in the spring, and Becher earned CoSIDA/Capital One Academic All-District honors.
