Freshman thrower Amanda Porter recorded the second longest throw in the shot put Saturday at the Seamus McElligott Invitational, hosted by Haverford College. Porter's top throw traveled 36'2-3/4" (11.04m).

Porter already ranks second in school history in the indoor shot put, just a couple of meets into her rookie season. Her top throw of 36'7" (11.15m), set back in December at the Bow-Tie Classic, is just four inches shy of tying Amanda Morrisette's 2006 school record of 36'11" (11.25m).
