Senior goalie Marlena Johnson continued her stellar play in the cage by only allowing one goal in two games for the field hockey team last week.
The Stewartstown, Pa., native made one save on one shot faced in an 8-0 blanking of Hood, her fifth shutout of the season.
Johnson followed that performance up with her biggest win of the season, Saturday, when she made 11 saves and held one of country's top teams to its lowest scoring output of the year in a 3-1 victory over 11th-ranked Messiah. In doing so, she lowered her goals against average to 1.83 as she closes in on 100 saves for the season. Johnson has allowed just the one goal in her last 219:11 minutes played.
