Senior Dan Gresh was the third-highest placing NCAA Division III runner in the Princeton Invitational Open Saturday, finishing 16th to lead the men's cross country team to an eighth-place team showing.
Gresh completed the 8,000-meter race in 25:43, just eight seconds off his career-best time, set two weeks earlier in the Geneseo Invitational. The Sewell, N.J., native bested plenty of Division I and II runners in the 337-man field.
A two-time all-conference runner, Gresh will now ramp up his efforts for the team's first Landmark Conference Championships appearance Nov. 1.
