Junior David Boretti of the Elizabethtown men's soccer team scored six points in two games last week to help the Blue Jays to a 2-0 record.

Boretti was named Commonwealth Conference Player of the Week for the first time in his career Monday. Used primarily on defense for most of his career, but with the offense struggling, Skip Roderick turned to the upperclassman to provide a spark up front. He did just that, scoring two goals and adding two assists for six points in a pair of victories.

Wednesday night against Susquehanna, Boretti scored twice —including the game winner— and picked up five points. The Garmisch, Germany native had an assist Saturday in a 3-0 win at Wilkes as well.
