Kendra Beittel of the women's basketball team continued her strong push to the finish of the regular season with two more outstanding games for the Blue Jays last week. In a tough, 75-69, loss to playoff-bound Widener Wednesday evening, the junior guard scored a career-high 24 points on 10-of-17 shooting. She knocked down a season-high four 3-pointers in the game, also tying a career-high. In Saturday's 11-point win at Hood, Beittel scored 14 and went 8-of-10 at the foul line. She also averaged 2.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.5 steals per game for the week. Beittel, who ranks tied for 17th in the league in scoring, has been in double-figures scoring-wise in seven of her last nine games, and is averaging 18 points per game over her last three. She averaged 19 points per game this week.
