Junior thrower Lucas Dayhoff broke an 11-year old school record in the indoor shot put Friday evening at the Bucknell Bison Open. Dayhoff entered the meet with the second-longest throw in school history (45'7-3/4"), which he established back in December at the Bow-Tie Invitational.

Friday, he threw 46'11-1/2" (14.31m) to oust Mike Kistler's throw of 46'3" (14.09m) from the top spot. Kistler's throw came all the way back on Feb. 9, 2002, at the William Iannicelli Invitational at Franklin & Marshall College.

Dayhoff's throw Friday was ninth best in a field that included mostly NCAA Division I and II athletes. The Keymar, Md. native also holds Elizabethtown's indoor record in the weight throw.
