ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. -- No.12, Stevenson scored three goals in the second quarter to lift themselves to a 4-0 win over the Elizabethtown field hockey team.
Etown had a dominating start to the game, earning two penalty strokes at the 7:30 and 14:47 mark in the first quarter. Seniors
Hannah Long and
Mia Fino stepped up to the stroke mark to take the shots but were denied getting the Blue Jays on the board.
The Mustangs came out strong in the second quarter, scoring three of their four goals in the span of six minutes. Etown finished the second quarter with multiple key shots at goal, but they were blocked by Stevenson goalie.
The Blue Jays defense kept the Mustangs contained in the third quarter allowing them only two shots.
The final goal of the game was scored midway through the fourth quarter, boosting the Mustangs to a 4-0 game.
Elizabethtown field hockey will be back in action Saturday, September 19
th at Penn State Harrisburg.
