ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa.—The Elizabethtown women's volleyball team moved to 5-1 on the season while remaining perfect at home as they swept Wilson before defeating St.Francis in four sets.
GAME 1: ELIZABETHTOWN 3, WILSON 0 (25-13, 25-13, 25-11)
Etown took down Wilson 25-13 in the first two sets before downing the Phoenix, 25-11 in the third set. In set one, the Blue Jays jumped out to a 12-4 lead and never looked back to come out with the 25-13 win. To begin set two the two teams traded points with Etown holding a steady lead. Two kills from
Sierra Plummer sandwiched a kill from
Aubrey Sullivan to push the Jays lead out to 11-7. Several points later after a 4-0 run the Blue Jays extended their lead to 19-11. Etown rattled off five straight to win, 25-13.
Set three started just the same as set one as the team jumped out to a 12-4 lead. After some back-n-forth, several Wilson errors put Etown up 21-9. Three kills from
Tori Obarow finished out the set as Etown won, 25-11.
GAME 2: ELIZABETHTOWN 3, ST.FRANCIS 1 (25-17, 25-13, 22-25, 25-23)
The Blue Jays soared past St. Francis in the two opening frames to win 25-17 and 25-13. Etown struggled in the third set, handing the Red Wolves the 25-22 win. In set three, St. Francis started off with the lead before the Blue Jays managed to tie up the set 21-21. The Red Wolves grabbed three points in row before smacking down one final kill to win, 25-22.
To start off the fourth set, the two teams traded points. A
Bailey McFeaters kill tied up the set 8-8. After a 4-1 run from SFU the Red Wolves then rattled off four in a row to grab an 18-12 lead. A 6-1 run by the Blue Jays brought the team back within one at 18-19. During the run

Zoey Henning tallied kills along with blocks by
Kinsey Reuwer and
Alexa Adamek. Etown closed out the set with a 5-1 run to win, 25-23 in a close match.
Etown continues their homestand as they host Messiah on Wednesday, September 16.
