ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa.—The Elizabethtown women's lacrosse team dropped their third Landmark Conference game of the season as Catholic cruised past for a 17-4 win.
Ella Scholes and
Megan Meyer each recorded a goal and an assist.
Hailey Meyer and
Abby Bach accounted for the other two Blue Jay goals.
Elizabethtown struck first as Scholes found the back of the net for an unassisted goal at 12:41. Catholic tied up the game at 1-1 before Scholes found M.Meyer for the Blue Jays second lead of the game. Catholic ended the first with two more goals to lead 3-2 and from there the Cardinals would never relinquish the lead.
In the second quarter, Catholic was quick to start, scoring their fourth goal just 15 seconds into the quarter. The Cardinals then tallied five straight goals before M.Meyer assisted Bach to bring the score to 9-3 at halftime.
Catholic didn't allow a Blue Jay goal in the third quarter as they scored six, extending their lead to 15-3. The Cardinals racked up two more goals to start the fourth quarter before H.Meyer recorded the Jays final goal on a free-position opportunity.
Etown travels to Wilkes on Saturday for another Landmark contest.
