WILKES-BARRE, Pa. -- Hailey Meyer scored eight times and
Drew Bridges recorded her 100th career goal for the Elizabethtown College women's lacrosse in their 22-7 win at Wilkes on Saturday.
It was all Blue Jays in the first half as they scored eight goals in the first and seven more in the second to lead 15-4 by halftime. Not even half the first quarter was gone by the time
Hailey Meyer had a hat trick, her third goal making it 4-0 with 7:34 left. The Jays were up 5-0 before Wilkes got their first goal.
Etown kept at it in the second, outscoring the Colonels 7-3.
Ella Scholes and
Hailey Meyer each scored twice over the final 5:59 of the second.
Megan Meyer assisted on the final two goals of the opening half.
Abby Bach had a pair of first-quarter assists.
Bridges had two in the first and then her final four of the game over the last 16:52 of the contest as she hit the century mark in goals.
Hailey Meyer ended with 9 points, 8 goals and an assist while Bridges had 6 goals and Scholes added another 4 for EC.
Alyssa Conner went 45:00 in goal for the Jays to get the win. She made 6 saves and
Peyton Walters closed it out with 1 save in the fourth.
Elizabethtown hosts Drew on Wednesday, April 15, at 6 p.m.
