YORK, Pa.—The Elizabethtown baseball team fell, 5-2 at York (Pa.) on Wednesday afternoon.
Parker Summers went 2 for 4 and
Nathan Schwing went 2 for 2.
Nate Moser went 1 for 1 with two RBIs.
York scored a run in the third and fourth to lead 2-0. The Spartans tacked on two more runs in the fifth lead 4-0 before adding their fifth and final run in the sixth.
Etown scored two runs in the eighth, but it wasn't enough to make a comeback.
Sawyer Martin reached first via a walk and then advanced to second on a ground out.
Alex McClain was hit by a pitch to reach first and then Martin and McClain both advanced on Schwing's single to right field. Moser pinch hit and a two-RBI single to score the Blue Jays lone runs.
Etown travels to Juniata this weekend for a three-game conference series.
