BETHLEHEM, Pa.—The Elizabethtown women's lacrosse team fell, 16-7 at Moravian in the regular season finale Wednesday evening.
Megan Meyer led the team with a hat-trick and an assist.
Abby Bach totaled two goals while
Hailey Meyer tallied two assists and a goal.
Moravian scored six goals in the first quarter and went up 7-0 at the start of the second quarter. At 11:27, M.Meyer recorded the Blue Jays first goal on a free-position opportunity. Minutes later, two Moravian goals sandwiched one from
Ella Scholes. The Greyhounds tacked on three more goals to go into halftime with a 12-2 lead.
After three quarters, Moravian extended their lead to 16-2 as they didn't allow an Etown goal in the third. The Meyer sisters were quick to get the Blue Jays going in the fourth as they each scored a goal within a minute of one another. At 4:36, M.Meyer found the back of the net for her third goal of the game. In the final minutes, Bach scored Etown's final two goals as the Blue Jays fell, 7-16.
The Blue Jays await their opponent for the Landmark Conference postseason.
