BETHLEHEM, Pa.-- The Elizabethtown women's lacrosse team traveled to Moravian for the second time this week. The Blue Jays fell, 14-5 in the Landmark Conference First Round.
Drew Bridges recorded three points totaling two goals and an assist.
Abby Bach added two goals while
Ella Scholes tallied two assists.
Etown started off strong out scoring the Greyhounds 4-1 in the first quarter. After Moravian scored first at 12:33 it was all Etown. Scholes found Bach at 11:50 for Etown's tying goal. Minutes later, Bridges gave Etown a 2-1 lead on a free-position opportunity.
Hailey Meyer and Bach tacked on two more goals before the end of the first. Moravian cut the lead to 4-2 early in the second quarter. By the end of the second, Moravian evened the score at 4-4.
Moravian took an 8-4 lead after the third quarter. Bridges started off the fourth quarter with an unassisted goal cutting the deficit to 8-5. Moravian gained momentum throughout the quarter adding six more goals to win, 14-5.
The Blue Jays end their season 9-8 overall and 4-5 in the Landmark after making the Landmark Conference First Round for the second straight season.
