ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa.-- In the Elizabethtown baseball team's second game against Widener this season, the Pride downed the Blue Jays, 11-0 in seven innings.
Parker Summers and
Nate Moser both went 2 for 3.
After a scoreless first inning, Widener scored runs in the next two innings to take a 6-0 lead. A scoreless fourth inning led to the Pride scoring again in the next two innings to extend their lead to 11-0 to force seven innings. The Blue Jays lone chance of scoring came in the second inning after
AJ Lipscomb, Summers, and Moser each hit a single to load the bases. On the next play a double play ended the inning the Etown's scoring chances.
The Blue Jays face #7/8 Shenandoah tomorrow at home.
