WESTMINSTER, Md.—The Elizabethtown women's lacrosse team suffered their first loss of the 2026 season at McDaniel on Saturday. The Blue Jays fell, 15-7 to the Green Terror.
Hailey Meyer led the team with a hat-trick.
Megan Meyer grabbed three points (1g, 2a) while
Ella Scholes scored two goals.
McDaniel went up 3-0 early in the first quarter. With just under five minutes remaining, M.Meyer found Scholes for Etown's first goal. The Green Terror quickly responded a minute later. The Meyer sisters ended the first with another goal to cut McDaniel's lead to 4-2. The Green Terror opened the scoring in the second quarter. H.Meyer grabbed her second goal of the game bringing the score to 3-5.
McDaniel tacked on three more to extend their lead before M.Meyer tallied one unassisted to go into halftime down 8-4.
The Blue Jays brought it back within two to start the third quarter before the Green Terror went up 11-6 at the end of the quarter. A minute into the final frame, McDaniel scored their 12
th goal. At 10:12,
Abby Bach fed H.Meyer to complete her hat-trick. McDaniel went on again to score another three in row to win 15-7.
