IMMACULATA, Pa.—The Elizabethtown women's lacrosse team just needed three quarters as the game was called early due to lightning to down Immaculata, 15-2.
Ella Scholes led the game with five goals and four assists.
Abby Bach recorded a hat-trick while adding an assist.
Alyssa Golombeck,
Megan Meyer, and Jordyn Hirnonimus all totaled two goals each.
Immaculata was on the board early in the first quarter. Less than a minute later, Scholes tied up the game at 1-1. Neither team could gain control for the next several minutes until Scholes found Bach to help Etown take a 2-1 lead. At the 3:08 minute mark, Hironimus extended the Blue Jays lead to 3-1. Etown fired off four straight goals to start the second quarter before the Mighty Macs tallied their final goal. Etown went up 8-2 to finish out the half.
At 11:10 in the third quarter, Scholes fed Meyer for Etown's ninth goal. The Blue Jays went on to tack on two more goals in the next two minutes to go up, 11-2. Scholes and Golombeck finished out the scoring for Etown as they went on to win, 15-2.
Etown will host Lebanon Valley on Saturday at 12 pm.
