ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa.—The Elizabethtown women's lacrosse team returned home Saturday to face Lebanon Valley. The Dutchmen defeated the Blue Jays, 16-6.
Ella Scholes and
Hailey Meyer each scored two goals while Meyer added an assist.
Alyssa Golombeck totaled two assists and a goal.
Lebanon Valley struck first in the 11
th minute just seconds before H.Meyer found Scholes. The two teams traded goals to finish out the first quarter with the game locked at 3-3. It was all Dutchmen in the second quarter as they rattled off five to take an 8-3 at halftime.
LVC opened the third with two back-to-back goals. At 9:43, Golombeck scored Etown's fourth goal via a free-position shot. The Dutchmen finished out the quarter with more goals to extend their lead to 14-4. The Dutchmen were once again on the board first to open the quarter. Golombeck fed H.Meyer two minutes later. LVC scored their final goal at the three-minute mark before H.Meyer scored Etown's last with just seconds remaining in the game.
Etown will host Wilson on Wednesday, March 18.
