ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa.—Scranton hit a two-run home run to secure their 6-3 win over the Elizabethtown baseball team on Saturday at Kevin Scott Boyd Stadium.
Tommy Kanakos went 3 for 4 with a run, an RBI, and a home run.
Nick Fiorini and
Alex McClain both went 3 for 4.
David Woolley went 2 for 3 with a walk to secure the program career walks record with 115 and counting.
After two scoreless innings, Kanakos led off the third inning with a solo home run. Woolley earned his 115
th career walk before crossing home on Fiorini's single through the right side. Scranton led 4-2 in the sixth inning.
In bottom half of the inning, McClain singled down the left field line and advanced on a ground out.
Parker Summers knocked a triple to score McClain. Etown came back within one run of the Royals. Etown wasn't able to get it together the final two innings as Scranton secured the 6-3 with a two-run homer in the ninth.
Etown and Scranton will square off again tomorrow in a doubleheader.
