ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa.—The Elizabethtown women's lacrosse team dropped a 16-6 Landmark contest to visiting Susquehanna on Saturday.
Drew Bridges led the team with two goals while four others scored a goal.
Alyssa Conner made 10 saves in the net for Etown.
Susquehanna made quick work of the Blue Jays as they took a 3-0 lead after the first quarter. The River Hawks started off the second adding their fourth goal before
Hailey Meyer got on the board for Etown. Susquehanna tacked on three more goals to take a 7-1 lead before
Abby Bach assisted Bridges at 7:24. The River Hawks ended the half with an 8-2 lead.
The River Hawks started off the third quarter with three goals within the first three minutes. At 8:03, Susquehanna scored their 12
th before three minutes later
Ally Breneman found the back of the net. With just under three minutes left in the quarter, Susquehanna led 13-3.
The Blue Jays acted early in the fourth quarter scoring two goals within minutes of each other. With just under six minutes remaining Susquehanna went up 14-5.
Megan Meyer scored her lone goal of the game at the three-minute mark before the River Hawks went on to score two more to win, 16-6.
Etown will travel to Juniata on Wednesday.
