HUNTINGDON, Pa.—The Elizabethtown men's volleyball team were swept, 3-0 by ranked Juniata in CVC play, Wednesday.

Braydon Ambruster totaled eight kills and four assists. Patrick Neyer tallied 19 assists. Arun Gopinath totaled seven kills. Dustin Hagin and Mason Boyer each grabbed five digs.

Set scores were 17-25, 15-25, 23-25

Elizabethtown kept the first set close as the two teams traded points to start. Kills from Boyer, Ambruster, Logan Smith, and Gopinath put Etown up, 8-7. Juniata started to pull away as they held a three-point lead midway through the set. Three straight from the Eagles left the Blue Jays trailing, 20-15. Juniata closed out the set on a 5-1 run to win, 25-17.

Set two began in a similar fashion as the Blue Jays were able to keep it close to start. Two Eagle errors tied up the set, 7-7 before Juniata took a 12-8 lead. Kills from Gopinath, Max Sears, and Ambruster brought the score to 12-16. A 5-1 run extended the Eagles lead to 21-13 and from there Etown couldn't recover as they fell, 25-15.

Juniata jumped out to an early 8-4 lead to begin set three. The two teams went back-n-forth for a while until three in a row from Etown left them trailing just by one at 13-12. Three in a row from the Eagles then extended their lead to 18-15 and another three to 22-17. The Blue Jays came back within one after rattling off four points in a row but Juniata took the set, 25-23.

Etown will travel to #19 Kean on Friday for another conference match.
