ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. -- The Elizabethtown College women's basketball team held off Catholic in the late stages of Wednesday night's Landmark Conference matchup in Thompson Gym.
Allyia Kennedy recorded a double-double and the Cardinals' last-second chance didn't get off before the buzzer as the Blue Jays won, 58-56.

Ellie Fasick, and Kennedy hit the first three shots of the game and Elizabethtown was out 6-0 in the first minute of action.
Catholic gained traction and would take the lead at 10-9, but
Kiley Wilhelm's jumper on a baseline out of bounds set put the Jays back into the lead.
Ella Gordon, who assisted on Wilhelm's bucket, knocked down a three on the next possession. The senior had three from beyond the arc in the game.
After taking a three-point lead into the second, Etown got it up to as much as nine with 6:21 to go after Kennedy hit a pair of free throws. The Blue Jays would utilize the foul line all night, going 21-for-26 as a team.
The Cardinals were able to cut it to three points by halftime as they held Elizabethtown scoreless over the final 4:31 after Mummert's layup made it 27-22.
Wilhelm and Gordon were responsible for consecutive three-point plays, the sophomore's being the unconventional way, drawing the foul and knocking down the freebie. Gordon hit another trey in the third to make it an eight-point game, 39-31. The Jays led by as much as 10 after Wilhelm's second and-one of the quarter with 39 seconds left in the third. They would lead by nine going into the fourth.
Catholic was able to whittle it down to four a number of times, but Etown remained in front. Free throws from Kennedy and Gordon raised the advantage back up to eight with 3:34 left in regulation.
Amelia Kennedy used a fastbreak layup to make it 54-48, then out of an Elizabethtown timeout, Mummert was able to get behind the defense as Gordon inbounded the ball to her senior teammate and Mummert went down the court and into the paint for the layup.
Amelia Kennedy hit a pull up three with 34 seconds to go to tie the game at 56-56. On Etown's next possession, Wilhelm got to the block and drew contact and the whistle with eight seconds remaining. She hit both to make it 58-56 as Catholic called timeout to advance the ball.
Kennedy missed a layup and with 0.5 seconds left, the Cardinals couldn't get another shot off in time to try and tie it as the Blue Jays held off the visitors by two.
Allyia Kennedy led all scorers with 15 points and grabbed 18 rebounds. Gordon had 13 and Wilhelm added 12 off the bench. Mummert was the fourth in double figures with 11 on the night.
Elizabethtown closes out the regular season at Lycoming on Saturday, February 21, at 4 p.m.
