Nolt reaches 200 wins as women's basketball closes out regular season with win at Lycoming

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. -- The Elizabethtown College women's basketball team closed out the regular season with a win at Lycoming on Saturday and head coach Veronica Nolt reached 200 career wins in the process.

Elizabethtown got out to a lead in the first quarter as the Blue Jays doubled up Lycoming through one quarter, 16-8.

The Warriors hit a couple threes in the second and shot 40 percent to climb a little closer before halftime as Etown led 34-24 by the break.

Lyco got hot from beyond the arc in the third quarter, knocking down five triples on nine attempts as they outscored Elizabethtown 19-15 and trailed by only six heading into the fourth.

Seniors Allyia Kennedy and Ellie Fasick helped keep it a three-possession game early in the fourth with points in the paint. The Warriors weren't able to get closer than six points as the Blue Jays steadily built up a double digit lead over the final half of the final frame.

Etown also did plenty of damage at the foul line, hitting on 22-of-25 with Makenna Mummert 10-for-12 on her own in the game. The senior had another 20-plus point effort for the Jays in the win.

Kennedy added a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds while Fasick and Kiley Wilhelm each had 10 apiece.
