HUNTINGDON, Pa.—The Elizabethtown men's basketball team let Juniata get away from them in the second half as the Blue Jays fell, 79-71.
Austin Finarelli led the game with 27 points and eight rebounds.
Woody Machado totaled 20 points.
Neither side led by more than five throughout the first half as the Eagles came out with a 37-35 lead. Etown was strong in the first half shooting 12 for 22 while Juniata shot 15-33. Midway through the first half, Etown held a consistent three-point lead. Just under eight minutes a Finarelli layup brought the score to 24-40. Through the remainder of the half the teams would exchange leads before Juniata went into halftime with a 37-35 lead.

Ben Stanton tied the game at 44. For the next several minutes the two teams would trade leads. At the seven-minute mark, Juniata began to pull away grabbing a six point lead over Etown. From there the Eagles never relinquished their lead and would go up by as many as 11 points to defeat Etown, 79-71.
Etown is back at home this Saturday to face Lycoming.
