Baseball Bats Explode vs. Drew, Agriss Records 100th Career-Hit

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa.—The Elizabethtown baseball team bats exploded in a marathon of a game against Drew, Sunday finishing with a season-high 18 hits and 21 runs. The Blue Jays defeated the Rangers, 21-11 in seven innings. RJ Agriss recorded his 100th career-hit with a double in the second inning.

Quinten Perilli went 2-4 with two runs, five RBIs, a home run, and three stolen bases. Alex Perrin went 3-4 with two runs, three RBIs, and a double. Agriss went 3-5 with two runs, two RBIs, and a home run. Alex McClain went 2-5 with three runs, a RBI, and a double.

Elizabethtown got off to a slow start, going down 5-0 against Drew. In the second, Perrin helped put Etown's first two runs on the board with a double. The Rangers added another run in the third, extending their lead to 6-2. In the third, Agriss hit a single to shortstop and then was brought home via McClain's double to left field.

The Blue Jays flipped the script in the fourth taking a 7-6 lead with the help from Perilli's three run homer. Etown kept up their momentum going into the fifth, scoring four runs on five hits to bring their lead to 11-6. The Rangers came back within reach of the Blue Jays scoring two runs in the sixth to trail 11-8. In the sixth Woolley and Woolwine reached first hit by pitch and walked; respectively. Perilli knocked in a 2 RBI single to score Woolley and Woolwine.

In the seventh, Drew scored their final three runs to come within three runs of Etown. In the bottom half of the inning, Etown scored seven more runs ending the game, 21-11 with Agriss' two run homer to left center.

The Blue Jays end the regular season on Tuesday, April 29 at Shenandoah for a nonconference game.
