Lipscomb Records Career-High Nine Strikeouts in Conference Win over Moravian

BETHLEHEM, Pa.-- On the mound, AJ Lipscomb helped the Elizabethtown baseball team to a 10-2 win over Moravian to complete the Landmark Conference sweep. Lipscomb recorded a career-high nine strikeouts on the mound. 

Quinten Perilli went 5-5 with a run, two RBIs, and a double. David Woolley went 2-4 with two runs, a RBI, and a home run. RJ Agriss went 2-2 with a run, two RBIs, and a home run. 

Elizabethtown took an early 4-0 in the first inning. Woolley led off the inning with a single through the right side and advanced to second on Mason Woolwine's bunt. Perilli singled up the middle to score Woolley. Tommy Kanakos hit a RBI double to score Woolwine for Etown's second run. Etown's final two runs of the inning were scored on a Greyhound error. Moravian scored one of their two runs of the game in the bottom of the first. The Blue Jays lone run in the third came way of Agriss' solo home run, extending the team's lead to 5-1. 

In the fifth, Elizabethtown brought their lead out to 7-1. Etown scored their second run via a sacrifice fly in the sixth, tacking on their eighth run. To start off the eighth, Woolley hit his second home run of the year. In the ninth, Alex McClain singled to center field and then advanced on a wild pitch. Perilli singled up the middle to bring home McClain. A pinch hitter for Moravian hit a RBI double to score the Greyhounds second run. 

Elizabethtown will host Drew this weekend starting at 12 pm for their final Landmark series of the season.
