CENTER VALLEY, Pa.-- The Elizabethtown women's lacrosse team dropped their second game of the season at DeSales, Wednesday falling 16-6.
Ella Scholes and
Abby Bach each recorded two goals apiece.
Rachel Murphy totaled 13 saves in goal.
DeSales went up early scoring in the 12th minute. Elizabethtown's Bach responded with the Jays first two goals of the game back-to-back to lead 2-1. DeSales regained their 3-2 lead after scoring two in a row.
Drew Bridges tied up the game again at 3-3 at the 3:41 minute mark. The Bulldogs ended the first quarter with a 4-3 lead. DeSales opened up the scoring in the second, extending their lead by two. Three minutes later on a woman-up opportunity Jordyn Hironimius brought Etown back within one of DeSales. In the final seconds of the second the Bulldogs added two more goals as they led, 7-4 at halftime.
DeSales took over in the third scoring five more goals before Etown recorded their fifth goals in the final three seconds of the quarter. The Bulldogs opened up the final quarter tallying three goals within minutes of one another to jump to a 16-5 lead.
Isabelle Rudy found Scholes for the Blue Jays sixth and final goal of the game.
Etown is back at home this Saturday to open up Landmark Conference play at 1 pm.
