ARLINGTON, Va.—The Elizabethtown men's volleyball dropped their third CVC match of the season as Marymount (Va.) defeated the Blue Jays 3-0.

Braydon Ambruster led the team with 14 kills (.429), six assists, and three aces. Patrick Neyer totaled 12 assists and five digs. Arun Gopinath totaled four kills and four aces. As a team the Blue Jays tallied 10 aces.

Elizabethtown held on in the first and second sets just falling 25-23 and 25-20 but Marymount got the better of the Blue Jays in the third set downing the Jays, 25-16.
Etown started strong in set one leading 5-2 early after two straight Ambruster service aces. Marymount then went on a 5-0 run to take a 11-7 lead. The set was close throughout with neither team able to lead by more than two. After two back-to-back aces from Gopinath to retake the lead at 13-12, Marymount soon gained momentum to win, 25-23.

Set two again began with an Elizabethtown led at 5-3 following a Saint's error. Kills from Gopinath, Ambruster, and Josh McCoy tied up the set at 10-10. After trading errors the set remained close but Marymount had a 23-19 after grabbing three straight points. The Saints went on to win, 25-20.

Marymount jumped out to a 5-0 lead to start set three. Gopinath put down a kill before the Saints rattled off four in a row to extend their lead. Etown managed to come within four after five straight from the Jays. The Saints gained more momentum going on a 6-0 run which would secure their large lead and the 25-16 win.

Elizabethtown will have another big test this Thursday as they host #9 Vassar at 6 pm.
